I think I've made a decision ...

At the baseball game Sunday I saw a woman with hair seriously past her butt. I thought that she had at least three 10-inch lengths of hair she could donate to Locks of Love. I remembered when I had donated my own 10-inch ponytail in January 2002 (I think it was 2002). And I decided that I think I want to do it again. I probably could have tried to do it after the wedding, but I was itching for a new style and they don't usually accept highlighted/colored hair. But now I'm thinking about doing it ... I love giving to good causes, and money is tight lately. Giving hair? Free (save for a little extra shampoo money). I even got my haircut discounted when I donated last time because the salon appreciated my gesture.

(Above is a photo of me and my friend Jen at Christmas (2001, I think), about a month before I made my first donation ... goodness. That was a lot of hair. )

  1. I still remember the day you walked into the Stater office with shockingly short hair.
This is such a great cause, and I'm so glad you're doing it again! :)
And besides, your hair looks good at any length (I'm not jealous at all), so it might be fun.

I think that's awesome that you are considering doing this again..I wish I could get my hair that long and donate to such a great cause! However, I also promise NOT to cut MY hair THAT short again. silly me. hehe :)
