First appointment!

We had our first doctor's appointment today! Dr. Shroder says everything looks good, and we're measuring 6 weeks, 1 day. They gave us a due date of Aug. 1, although the ultrasound says Aug. 3. We got to see the yolk sac, baby and baby's flickering heartbeat :) We have another appointment in four weeks, when we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat! Apparently Dr. Shroder likes to call the baby "lima beans," and we told the nurse that nickname holds special meaning to us!
