23 weeks

Baby is the size of a papaya.

How far along?
23 weeks

(At 23 weeks. Tim may or may not or be sleeping
on the couch after exclaiming, "You're looking pretty huge.")

Total weight gain/loss: I didn't weigh myself this week - I'm convinced the scale at our new gym doesn't work properly, so I need to dig out our home scale and replace the battery.

Maternity clothes? Yup. Still have a few pre-pregnancy tops and bottoms that I can wear comfortably, though.

Stretch marks? Nothing new.

Best moment this week: Lots of kicks and movement. Also notable? I realized my feet no longer exist according to the view from the top:

(No toes!)

Symptoms: Of course it had to be done the hard way, but I found out that Elle is not a fan of strawberry cream cheese on whole wheat bagels. I am positive that was the source of last week's sickness, too. Other than that, I've been doing pretty well. I think I've got faint linea nigra developing.

Movement: I can feel Elle on both sides of my stomach at the same time now - I think she's learning to stretch a lot more. She seems to be moving in new places all the time now, too. I've been going for a lot of walks because the weather is so nice, and I started a new workout DVD today, too.

Food cravings: Tuna tetrazzini.

Aversions: Strawberry cream cheese.

Gender? It's a girl!

Sleep: Not bad. I wake up for no reason every so often, but I try to eat and drink something small and go back to bed.

What I miss: Free time, but that's more to do with work and my stupid class.

What I am looking forward to: My trip to - and baby shower in - Ohio!

Weekly Wisdom: Time moves too fast.

Milestones: I started work on the nursery decorations, and Tim got baby's first pair of slippers this week :) We did Easter baskets for each other and unknowingly each included the baby ... I/we got him this book, "I Love You, Daddy," and he got Elle a cute pair of pink bunny slippers.

  2. The size will coincide perfectly with the coolest time of year in Florida, too!
