How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I gained more than I - and the doctor - wanted. Less than last time, but still not a number I was hoping for. I'm officially retiring this question from the survey because it depresses me, although I will keep track in the baby bump journal I keep off-line.
Maternity clothes? Yup, although I'm happy that some of my pre-pregnancy summer clothes (like top above) still fit the bump.
Stretch marks? Nothing new, although the old ones are looking a bit more pronounced.
Best moment this week: We picked a middle name! More on that later :) And Tim took the couch out of what will be the nursery, so we're making progress on that front, too. A post on that to follow as well. (And I'm joyful that soon my class and part-time job will be over and I'll have more time to work on the nursery!)
Symptoms: Some heartburn, some cramps in my legs at night, nothing awful, though!
Movement: Elle seems to be pretty chilled out. I feel strong movement often, but it's not the torrent of kicks and punches I was feeling a few weeks ago.
Food cravings: Sandwiches. Veggies.
Aversions: Still strawberry cream cheese.
Gender? It's a girl!
Sleep: Excellent.
What I miss: Wearing shirts to the gym that cover my belly when I lift weights. I feel like I'm inadvertently flashing my stomach during most of my workouts.
What I am looking forward to: We're ordering the crib this week and getting the dresser in about two weeks, so I'm ridiculously excited to put them together (my brother-in-law and I share a slightly odd obsession, and we both get a rush out of putting together furniture, something I haven't had a need to do for quite some time) and continue transitioning our office to a nursery.
Weekly Wisdom: The scale is the devil.
Milestones: We picked a middle name, took the 1-hour glucose tests (we'll find out the results in a few days) and we scheduled our second ultrasound for 32 weeks. In June, we get to see Elle again!

You look absolutely fantastic. I don't care what anyone says about the weight. You look perfect.
ReplyDeleteI get the same rush out of putting furniture together! It drove me nuts seeing all the boxes for my Ikea furniture in my living room when I had to wait to get the old stuff out of my room first before putting the new stuff together. That sense of accomplishment when it's done is awesome!
