How far along? 27 weeks. Some people consider this to be the start of the third trimester.
Maternity clothes? Yup.
Stretch marks? Nothing new, although the old ones are looking a bit more pronounced and I'm starting to carefully watch for more. And let's talk about the veins in my tummy - I've always had weird, bright blue veins pop up on the sides of my stomach, but the bump is making them extra-pronounced.
Best moment this week: Feeling hiccups for the first time! It was quite a week for movement, and Elle is moving around a lot more and getting a lot stronger. I thought she was strong before, and I'm sure later I'll think this was nothing, but there are a lot more solid bumps and jabs going on in there.
Symptoms: Nothing awful. I've been really tired, but I think that's more from working on my final class project and working some weird hours. Peeing a lot.
Movement: Hiccups, a solid limb brushing against me, lots of flipping and shifting on the baby's part. For me, I finally have a bit more time to hit the gym and have been taking some short walks at work, too.
Food cravings: Sandwiches. Cake. (It was my birthday last week, I'm allowed to crave it!)
Aversions: Still strawberry cream cheese.
Gender? It's a girl!
Sleep: Quantity: Not much (because of work and school). Quality: Excellent.
What I miss: The last few months - time is flying by, and I really wish I could have those last few months back. It feels like forever ago that we found out we were pregnant, heard the heartbeat for the first time, had our ultrasound.
What I am looking forward to: LOADS OF STUFF. Hello, more free time! My class ended tonight. The crib and mattress should be here this week or early next week. We've got a fun day off planned for next week, and I think we're going to get Elle's dresser. I'm done at the part-time job in less than two weeks. And we're going on a "babymoon" in the next few weeks. Then we start childbirth education classes!
Weekly Wisdom: Salad is my friend. Salad is my friend. Salad is *sigh* my friend. I also learned on my birthday that blackened salmon tastes like burnt hot dogs when you burp. GROSS.
Milestones: Hiccups! My first birthday as a pregnant person! Finishing my certificate program!

Aww Love the bare belly shot! You have the perfect little beach ball belly! With all your working out, I have a feeling delivery is going to be a breeze for you. :) Oh, and I see zero stretch marks--my belly is atrocious and looks like a road map.
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks :) I take bare belly shots every week for a separate journal, but I usually don't inflict them on anyone in cyberspace :) I have a feeling my stretch marks are coming ... I usually don't get the red ones, either - just the white, silvery ones.
