It feels like Elle eats constantly. She's had several rounds of cluster feeding already, and I feel like there are days and nights where all I do is feed her. I took some video of her in a light sleep the other day, and - shock of all shocks - she seemed to be dreaming about her next meal. At least she seems smiley about it ...

I remember those days. Your baby's done nursing. Finally! Then, surprise, an hour later, she wants another 30-minute session. Sometimes I was like, "I need to not have someone touching me for ten minutes! JUST TEN MINUTES!" It does get much better, though. Now E is very efficient and can get a full feed in less than 5 minutes. Kinda miss the nurse-all-day days, though! They were hard but in a different way.

ReplyDeleteValli, exactly. And sometimes I struggle to keep her awake for a 10-minute session when she just acted like she was starving, and then other times she'll eat for 30 minutes without being constantly poked and tickled. Maddening! I'm ready for a little bit of consistency :)
