A discovery

Elle has recently "discovered" her hand. One might argue this discovery was made when she started sucking on her fist (and then later, her thumb), but last weekend Tim noticed her staring at her hands. She would sometimes roll on her side and just put her hands in front of her face and look at them. We've caught her doing that a lot in the last few days - it is like she's actually starting to make the connection that she controls the hands, and the hands belong to her. Here is a video of her staring in wonder (although I do wonder if she wasn't mesmerized by the ruffles on her sleeper, too):
