| I laugh at you, blocks! |
Unofficial weight estimate: 18ish pounds.
Current developments include new sounds, like clucking, singing, raspberries, gargling-type noises. She is really exploring her vocal skills, and it's super cute. (Well, the yelling-for-the-sake-of-yelling-while-we're-grocery-shopping isn't super cute, but hey, we'll live with it.) TEETH! Still army crawling, although definitely push up on her hands and knees more, and sometimes even rocking back and forth, but then collapsing. After a weekend with her cousin Abby, she's testing the waters more on supporting herself to stand, too - Abby is a month older than Elle and HATES tummy time, so she's quite proficient at walking when someone holds her hands. Elle would motor over to her on her tummy, and Abby would stand, towering over Elle. Kinda funny to watch. Elle waves sometimes now, too :)
She "gives kisses" if she's in the right mood. Her motor skills are excellent, and she loves toys like this that she can empty out, piece by piece. She's not so interested in putting them away, which is
Current loves include the cats, eating, anything she can put in her mouth, yelling (not crying or screaming, just making her presence known), moving, moving, moving.
Current nicknames include Suisham, Huggie Bear, Snuggle Bear and all of the ones from the last eight months.
Recent conversations of note: Kind of random, but if I say anything to Tim along the lines of "If you give the baby a bath/pear/nap/diaper change ..." he responds with "she's going to want a glass of milk." (Anyone? Anyone?)
Current habits include nursing/taking a bottle four or five times a day, sleeping 11-13 hours a night, napping 2-3 times a day for a total of 1.5-3 hours, eating solids twice a day.
In mommy life, yeah, not much has changed since my last update, and that's fine by me!
Love reading your updates! My little one is about 6 weeks behind yours, so it's fun to see what we have to look forward to!
