Here is my friendly public service announcement on how to earn rewards by doing something you've always done:
So a few months ago I saw this "Swagbucks" box on another blogger's Web site. I clicked on it, signed up and installed the toolbar. Basically, any time I search using the Swagbucks toolbar (which is simple and was just a matter of changing my habits), I earn Swagbucks. The search is powered by Google and is easy to use.
Since then, I've started to follow various Swagbucks Twitter accounts - they give clues and codes to redeem for extra Swagbucks - and I've racked up about 630 Swagbucks. I am by no means a Swagbucks expert, but I do know that by doing something I've always done - searching the internet - I'm earning "cash." And you also can get Swagbucks for things like recycling cell phones and video games. Another way to earn is by referring your friends.
Those Swagbucks can be redeemed for prizes, contests and gift cards. So far, my 630 Swagbucks equal at least a $5 giftcard to Amazon.com (there are many, many prizes and several options for giftcards, including Barnes & Noble and Starbucks - I just happen to have my eye on some stuff at Amazon.com!) and I'm well on my way to another. I earn the most Swagbucks by entering codes mentioned on Facebook or Twitter, but I've also racked up a good amount just by doing the searches with the Swagbucks toolbar.
