A marital debate

Long before we were married, and even before we were engaged, Tim and I faced a major issue: Are we a Pepsi family, or are we a Coke family?

Answer: We're both. Tim has been a hard-core Pepsi/Mountain Dew/Aquafina drinker. I've always preferred Diet Coke.

Tim always says we're a "Pepsi family." I disagree, but I'm not a caffeine snob - if Pepsi products are available or cheaper, I'll go with it.

I've been trying to reduce my pop intake this year - mostly to save money and drink more water. Tim, however, has maintained a fairly steady two-can-a-day Pepsi habit. He doesn't drink coffee like I do, so this is his source of caffeine. Pepsi started selling 8- and 18-packs last year, and it's been maddening to find a good price on them. So when they go on sale, we *really* stock up. And because Diet Coke hasn't been on sale much lately, I've been grabbing a Diet Pepsi in the mix.

I realized last week - after we stocked up on a 4 for $6! sale - that we looked like we have a serious caffeine addiction. Which is true, but it's not usually quite so obvious. I offer you the evidence, photographed in our kitchen:

It must be noted that the 2-liters are for a baby shower I'm co-hosting next weekend, and like I said, when there is a sale, we stock up.

But this photo would undoubtedly say we're a Pepsi family. I maintain that I'm a Coke person with an affinity for cheap pop.
