Sicker than sick.

I remember feeling like this once before. I was living in Kalamazoo, and my doctor had me on birth control pills for my acne and an antibiotic for my acne, too. I spent three miserable days dizzy, sick and barely making it to the bathroom in time to puke. I had to work long, late hours during those days, and as soon as my doctor realized it was the combination of the prescription meds that was making me sick, I stopped taking the antibiotic.

Two years ago, my new doctor in Florida was trying to figure out a way to mesh my prescriptive needs for various ailments. She was trying me out on some new birth control pills and told me - with a smile - that I would "be hell when I was pregnant." Apparently hormones and I do not get along, and they affect my health and my mood. I started warning Tim as soon as I got home that I would likely turn in to a witch (complete with broom) whenever we had kids.

Combine those two medical encounters and you've got me right now - sick and a mess of emotion. Yay! (?) But I'm glad to be sick if it means that things are going well with the pregnancy. Even though I am counting down the SECONDS to the second trimester. A woman told me on Saturday that the beginning and very end of pregnancy is rough, but the middle is fantastic. I'm trying to focus on the light in the middle of the tunnel.
