33 weeks

Baby is the size of a honeydew.

How far along? 33 weeks.

(33 weeks, a mere two days after I nearly died a slow, flu-like death.)

Maternity clothes? Yup. Although pants above are my new best friend (I have a pair in gray, too) that are just stretchy workout capris one size larger than my usual size.

Stretch marks? Nothing new.

Best moment this week: Spending time with my mom and my brother and finishing up some stuff for the nursery :) And then recovering from a sudden and intense bout with what I think was food poisoning. On Sunday morning I woke up around 5 a.m. and didn't feel right. I ended up throwing up but thought it was like when I had the strawberry cream cheese, and that I'd feel instantly better after it was out of my system. But when I woke up a few hours later to take my mom and brother to the airport, I tried munching on some crackers ... and they came right back up. Tim ended up taking my family, and I headed back to bed. I had to call off work, and I was finally able to keep some Gatorade down, but when I tried half a cracker later that afternoon I, uh, ended up starting from scratch again. I slept all day, and by the end of the night I'd managed two popsicles and a piece of toast. On Monday morning my stomach felt a lot better but I was still really weak and tired - I stayed with fairly bland foods and tried to rest a lot, but I hate having my days off relegated to the couch! I'm glad it didn't last longer than it did, and I'm glad it happened at the end of my family's visit, but I wish it hadn't happened at all. It was definitely the sickest I've been in years, and I worried about becoming dehydrated. Throwing up repeatedly while 8 months pregnant? Painful :(

Symptoms: Nothing bad - I've been fatigued, but I think that is from the Great Sickness of 2010.

Movement: Elle is quite active still - she's definitely flipping a lot and enjoys kicking the crap out of her mom. Tim and I felt her rolling around for an hour last night, and I think it was the first night that I actually had trouble falling asleep because my little tummy inhabitant was in constant motion. I was out of commission at the gym for a while because of my family's visit and then my illness, but we did go to the pool and beach a lot.

Food cravings: Ugh. Let's not talk about food right now.

Aversions: Still strawberry cream cheese. And whatever the heck I ate to make me so sick on Sunday.

Gender? It's a girl!

Sleep: Still sleeping well except for last night. The night after I was sick, I didn't even wake up to pee, so I slept about nine hours straight! I think I jinxed the next night, though, because I was awake for almost two hours with rolling baby, inability to get comfortable and restless legs. I ended up camping out on the living room floor with my iPod for several hours because it was the only place I could get comfortable.

What I miss: Oh, the last 10 weeks or so. There is a lot we still want/need to do, and it feels like our due date is rushing closer!

What I am looking forward to: More work on the nursery/other projects around the condo.

Weekly Wisdom: I'm sure I could offer something on puke, but I'll refrain.

Milestones: We are now a month away from full-term!
