We have baby gear!

Although we received our bouncy seat at our Ohio shower, we had waited to assemble it until we got close to Elle's due date. Over the last few weeks, we did some shopping with gift cards we received at our showers and got some of the rest of our big baby gear items, including the Pack N Play. The last score was the baby swing, which was out of stock at the Super Target where we registered for it, but when I checked our local Target on a whim, it was there AND on clearance! (It seems they've rolled out a more expensive cradle/swing combo, and I'm guessing they are phasing out the take along swing, so I was glad to find it when I did!)

I came home from work one night this week to find the boxes containing the swing and bouncy seat mysteriously missing ... and the assembled pieces of baby gear hanging out in the nursery! Since I had put together all of the furniture (which I loovveeee doing), Tim did these two items. Thanks, babe!

Bouncy seat.

Take along swing.

Since those were out of the way, we set up the Pack N Play just to see how it all went together and how the bassinet feature worked (the baby will be sleeping in it in our room for the first few months). Then we took it down for a few weeks because, as you can see from the picture, it is quite tantalizing for the kitties, so until we get closer to bringing a baby home, it will remain collapsed.

Sid eyes the bassinet and Pack N Play.
My guess is he was thinking how well he would fit in there.

  2. I love the designs on the swing and bouncy! It seems very crafty for some reason. LOL Plus we're huge suckers for anything with squirrels and hedgehogs.

  3. We liked them because they're so cute and gender neutral ... we went with elephants on the Pack N Play, too - lots of browns and greens!
