As Elle's due date quickly approaches, I've gone through some possible scenarios for birthdays for Elle. For reasons some of you know, I've never been thrilled with our August 3 due date, but I've managed to find a way to like even that date.
Tim and I have discussed a few options, and we're not really focusing on her coming super early, but here are some dates and our (OK, mostly *my*) thoughts on them:
July 14: Tim likes the fact that doubling the birth month equals the birth day, like his birthday.
July 16: My youngest brother's half-birthday.
July 19: Tim's cousin Travis' birthday, my friend Katie's birthday.
July 21: Tim's cousin Ryan's birthday.
July 27: Our sister-in-law Angie's birthday, my friend Lisa's birthday, and 727 is the St. Petersburg area code.
July 29: Tim's cousin Cara's husband Daniel's birthday.
July 31: My parents' anniversary, also cool because it is the end of the month.
Aug. 1: Tim's friend Tim's birthday, also cool because it is the beginning of the month.
Aug. 2: Derek Jeter is number 2. Enough said.
Aug. 3: Heath Miller is number 83 (8/3) for the Steelers.
Aug. 4: The birthday of my friend Kate's twins.
Aug. 5: She'd be Ocho Cinco! (8/5)
Aug. 6: Hines Ward is number 86 (8/6) for the Steelers.
Aug. 7: Sidney Crosby is number 87 (8/7) for the Penguins.
Aug. 8: 8/8 has a solid ring to it, and there are 88 counties in Ohio.
Aug. 9: 8/9/10. Sweet! And if she waits this long to be born, she will likely weight 89 (8/9) pounds. Not sweet.
Aug. 10: Ugh. Let's not think about a week past my due date.
Any one else have any thoughts/feelings/special connections to dates around Elle's due date - listed or not listed?

We're pulling for 08/09/10 for our LO. We'll be 38w2d which is halfway between when the other two were born (38w and 38w4d) and if she also splits the difference between Abby and Lucas's weights, she could be 6lb 7oz on 8/9/10.
ReplyDeleteFor your sake, I hope that you get some of those late July dates. I like the idea of doubling the month on 07/14. And it would be sweet if she shared her uncle's half birthday.
I like that date, just worry about how big she'll be if she goes that long! Tim is just hoping she doesn't come on 7/17 - he's going to a concert with one of my coworkers, and they'd rather not worry about me going in to labor!
