Doug also spent much of the visit hanging out with Tim, including one day when Tim decided he would watch sports in the nursery all day. The deal was that I could drop off the baby for diaper changes, but other than that, it was a "man cave" and I was to deal with all other baby needs on my own. Doug decided to take the diaper duty quite seriously, asking if "their client" was ready pretty much every time I fed her.
I tried to explain to him that we weren't going to change her diaper unless it needed to be changed, despite what that might do to business, and by the end of the day, they had a good routine down. Doug would be in charge of unbuttoning and buttoning the onesie, and Tim would do the changing of the diaper.
A few days after that, Tim asked if his client was ready. As I handed the baby to him for a diaper change, I heard him thanking the baby for her repeat business. Yes, this is one customer that takes loyal to a whole new level.
