The ABCs of me

Taking a break from all of the blog posts I have floating around in my head to post a survey, taken from Kara  over at It's a dog lick baby world. :)

A: Age: 29 ... only about two months left!

B: Bed size: Queen.

C. Chore you hate: Putting laundry away, ironing.

D. Dogs: Love them, but don't have the yard or room for one right now. Hopefully someday!

E. Essential start to your day: Bathroom, then coffee and breakfast.

F. Favorite color: Green.

G. Gold or silver: I am a silver/white gold kind of gal, but I won't turn down gold!

H: Height: Five feet, six-and-three-quarters inches.

I: Instruments that you can play: Flute, piccolo, saxophone.

J: Job title: Full-time newspaper page designer, fuller-time mom and wife.

K: Kids: One grown-up kid (Tim), one infant kid (Elle), and hopefully another baby or two down the road.

L: Live: Bradenton, Florida. Close enough to the beach to be nice, far away enough from the beach and work to be a pain in the butt.

M: Mom's name: Mary Ellen.

N: Nicknames: The main ones? Bug and Kris.

O: Overnight hospital stays: When I was born, and when I gave birth. Not a terrible track record.


P: Pet peeve: People who try too hard, slow people, people who constantly brag about their lives, people who refuse to admit they're wrong ... I could go one for quite a while, really.

Q: Quote from a movie: I'm sure there is some deeper quote I could go with, but the thing I've been saying lately to Tim and one of my coworkers is "SQUIRREL!" from the movie "Up." And if you've seen "Up," you must see these engagement photos here and here. If you haven't seen "Up," you should look at those photos, watch the movie and then look at those photos again.

R: Righty or lefty: Right.

T: Time you wake up: Usually between 7:30 and 8 a.m., although I bring Elle back to bed to nurse her and we usually doze for another hour or so.

U: Underwear: Highly recommend.

V: Vegetables you dislike: Dislike doesn't begin to describe my hatred of peas.

W: What makes you run late: Usually misjudging the time I need to get everything - and everyone - ready. I constantly think I can do "just one more thing" before we leave.

X: X-rays: I've had the typical dental x-rays as well as an x-ray of my foot when I had a weird cyst on it. Other than that, I don't think I've had any ...

Y: Yummy food you make: I think a lot of the stuff I bake is yummy.

Z: Zoo favorite animal: The ellephants, obviously :)
