Unofficial weight estimate: 20ish pounds (we actually were at the pediatrician two weeks ago and she was 20 pounds, but she was also clothed and wearing a cloth diaper).
Current developments include pulling up on everything, talking ("baby, "dada," "mama," "hi," "hiya" and "kee kee," which is what we usually call the kitties), working on a third tooth, not freaking out every time she touches grass, waving more, although often backward (at herself).
Current loves include getting in to EVERYTHING, this activity table, books of all kinds, drinking water out of her sippy cups, blueberries, grilled cheese, blueberry banana bread, playing in the kitchen (aka "Let's open this cabinet! Let's grab this pantry item!") and playing peek-a-boo.
Current nicknames include ... hmmm. Looks like we've finally slowed down on the new nickname front. The most commons ones are Baby, Ellie Bean, Boo Boo, Baby Bear, Baby Girl.
Recent conversations of note: None that come to mind right now.
Current habits include nursing/taking a bottle three to five times a day, sleeping 11-13 hours a night, napping 2 times a day for a total of 1.5-3 hours, eating solids three times a day. She's a little more sensitive to loud, sudden noises - if someone sneezes near her or if something drops or falls, she jumps and looked scared. She's cuddling up in to our chests and sucking her thumb (always when her head is turned to her right - she won't suck her thumb when it's turned to the left) when tired or a little clingy.
She's had a few nights and a few naps of not wanting to go to sleep or waking up and not easily going back to sleep. I think it's a sleep regression/dealing with the developments she's going through, but we're just trying to maintain consistency and ride it out.
It seems like this update is a lot shorter than her usual monthly ones ... I think since I posted her nine-month update almost halfway through the month, it just doesn't seem like she's changed in any crazy ways in the last 2-3 weeks :) And really, once I say "getting in to EVERYTHING," that just doesn't leave much to be said, right? Also, I think I have other stuff to add to this post but every time something hits me I'm not near the computer and I think "Oh, I'll remember that later." And uh, I didn't. Sorry!
