Walking on Sunshine

As previously mentioned, Elle took her first steps last week. And apparently by waiting so long, she's jumped right in to fearless-barreling-across-rooms walking. I'm still thrown off when I look up and see her walking toward me, or when I don't hear her tell-tale crawl thump as warning before she appears. (It's a lot harder to track silent, walking Elle in the condo, too.)

But it's very cool for us to see her walking, and for me, it is kind of the last big milestone of her infanthood, you know? I mean, we've had rolling, sitting up, teeth, solids, crawling, talking, standing ... and now walking. Which pretty much means kindergarten starts next week, and she'll want to borrow the keys to the car next month. *sobs* OK. I'm better now. Kinda.
