Recent funnies

Elle and I were looking at family photos on Saturday night. I showed her our nephews/her cousins, and we looked at Sam's picture first. Then I said, "And there's Cal." Elle responded with "moooooo." Apparently "Cal" sounds a lot like "cow" to Baby Girl :) (Like sea cows go "moo" and sea horses go "neiiggghhhh," according the Elle.)

We were running some errands and she kept spotting "Melmo" (Elmo) at Burlington.

Elle is constantly pointing out the bear ("burr") on her potty ("boddy").

Elle loves when it's time to brush her teeth. The funniest part is that she likes to mimic tooth brushing. Why is this funny? Tim and I have electric toothbrushes. Sooooooo ... she makes a tooth-brushing motion and a "bzzzzzing" noise :) Video evidence, because it's pretty stinking cute:

Tim cracked me up with a series of text messages after he put Elle to bed the other night. He channeled our days of sleep training (and a few nights of CIO). He told me that Elle was talking in her crib, not sleeping. I love it when she does this, and I replied with "Eh, let her chat." He responded with "I'm going in. Talk-it-out is not for me."

Poor Elle is having a hard time with one particular animal. She thinks it's funny when I make a "hee-haw" sound ... but she doesn't get the idea of a "donkey." To her, it sounds like "doggie," so she responds with "Woof!" Or, if I try to enunciate, she goes with "Oo, ee, oo, ee!" for a MONkey.
